In accordance with Grant County Ordinance 17-082 a burn ban is in effect annually from June 1st through September 30th.  Refer to our Fire Safety Information page for additional information.

For those who like to shoot firearms, during periods of elevated fire risk common sense implies that detonating explosive targets is a very bad idea.  For those interested in the science, here is a link to a USDA study on the subject.

Effective 10:00am 18 April 2026 at the start of the annual meeting, a quorum was achieved with the vote electing the following individuals to fill the five board positions:  Gus Gomez, Joe Byrd, Craig McKee, Rafael Gomez and Mark Owen.

Specifically the quorum was derived as:
184 members paid in full
46 required to achieve quorum
68 ballots accepted

By prior agreement between these individuals they will serve in the following capacities:
Rafael Gomez, President
Joe Byrd, Vice President
Gus Gomez, Board Member At Large
Craig McKee, Secretary
Mark Owen, Treasurer

The prior board members Mr. Mitchell and Ms. McMackin failed to present or provide any of the financial reports which should have been prepared in advance for the annual meeting as is required by law and which in addition had been explicitly requested well in advance by multiple members.  This leaves the new board in a difficult position which we will be working to remedy as rapidly as possible and will publish the required items on this site as soon as we are able.

Thank you to all members who were able to attend the meeting and voted.  Your participation is essential and we look forward to working with our members in the  future.
